Nestling in the crook of silver sanded Embleton bay, with the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle as a constant spectator this course weaves its own magic. Rolling links, plateau greens and fair, but only just, fairways bring to the fore the reason golfers took up the game. The most welcoming clubhouse which is well-presented.

This small, but perfectly formed, course has 12 links holes and six parkland holes each with their own character – non-more than the fearsome world renowned 10th. a par three over the liquid fairway of the old quarry. Short enough to play all day, the course and its clubhouse are excellent.The "Birdie Restaurant" serves excellent Food too.

With six par threes and nine hidden holes golfers test not only their golf but also nature, with gorse and whinstone still often the victors. The clubhouses, built in 1904 the same year as the courses was laid out, offers light snacks over which to contemplate unrivalled views.

Majestic trees and gentle brooks in a slender valley shoulders to perfect greens. The par three 5th requires particular attention as the burn stands guard to punish the timid. The modern clubhouse dispenses fine snacks and well kept ale, with the pro shop worth a look for the sweater that says you've played in Scotland!

The addition of the Neil Coles designed "Priestman" course on the western side of the estate offers both stimulating golf and panoramic views over the Tynedale valley. As you may expect the service offered at this venue is impeccable at this five star complex.
